Giants

Giants! Could this be real? Taller than the average person, much stronger like superman, and huge in overall appearance… Well, today dominated by the media industries: especially through fictions and novels, giants are seemingly becoming one of the most imaginable character realistically designated.Well first of all, upon creation man was created perfect in the image of God as stated in Genesis chapter 1:27. Due to the fall of man and introduction to sin, mankind degraded through time in size and righteousness. Or in other words as time gradually ticked by, man increase within sin while decrease in size and righteousness. Thus saying, the first three generations of humanity would be considered giant compared to humanity's generation today. But that is not "the" giant that I'm referring to!

Metaphorically speaking from my perspective, there were giants back in Bible times. So what does God say about giants? Well in the book of Genesis 6: 4 it reads, “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." That is to say, the offspring to the sons of God and daughters of men were in fact these giants. To further understand these giants, we have to first know who were the sons of God and daughters of man. 

So within this scenario, we have to first understand the nature of mankind. Humanity was created perfect in the beginning in God's very own image. But due to the fall of man, the generation that followed after the incident were naturally born into sin and suffered the consequences of sin: as stated in Genesis 3. From my perspective I would say, the sons of God referred to the remnant church or faithful followers of God during those times. The the descendants of Adam and Eve who actually kept God's ways or instructions which were passed down from their ancestors: Adam and Eve. The daughters of men here within this scenario were also descendants of Adam and Eve: but were the descendants of Adam and Eve who went astray: gave into their sinful nature as stated in Genesis 6:5 (And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil CONTINUALLY).  

 The giants here within this scenario were actually the offspring of those descendants of Adam and Eve who actually keep God's instructions (passed down from their ancestors Adam and Eve: sons of God) and those descendants of Adam and Eve who knew God's instructions but went astray following their (mankind's) sinful nature! . The Hebrews nephilim, means “violent” or “causing to fall” (Genesis 6:4). These were the violent tyrants of those days, those who fell upon others. The word may also be derived from a root signifying “wonder,” and hence “monsters” or “prodigies.” These were not demi gods or some superhero looking figure like how the cartoons and media nowadays normally illustrate, but this were human beings of knowledge and understanding which cause people to go astray from God (corruption oriented). Or in other words, "Wolves in sheep's clothing". Like the Bible says, "they were mighty men!" Meaning, with their persuasions, lies and deceitfulness , they were able to draw out strong men/sons of God into the further: satan's pit! 

There are many giants that can be found today in this sinful world. Many in the music industry, some in Sports, some movie stars, some are even presidents, etc.. . These are people who are not in accord with God, and lead many multitudes (especially the young generation of today: future leaders of Christ's Church) astray, and further into the darker, gloomy pits of hell. Or in other words, these are people in which the devil uses fig-literally to distract your mind from God, and pull you into his pits! There can be many giants today! Some you may even know of... But one thing's for sure is that, with God The Father, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit as our weapon, armor, and captain, every giant that come our way may be defeated...
